Discovery & Consultation
It starts with a conversation. Whether you have a fully formed design or just a rough sketch on a napkin, we begin by discussing your needs, your space, and your aesthetic. We’ll talk about dimensions, wood species, and functionality to ensure we’re aligned on the vision before any sawdust is made.
Deliverable: Initial consultation and rough estimate.
Refinement & Design
Once we’ve established the direction, I translate our conversation into a tangible design. For complex pieces, this may include 3D renderings or detailed sketches to help you visualize the final product in your home. This is the time for adjustments—we tweak the proportions and details until it’s perfect.
Deliverable: Final design approval and precise quote.
Selection & Craftsmanship
This is where the magic happens. I hand-select the lumber, looking for grain patterns that complement the design's flow. Your piece is then built right here on Bowen Island, utilizing traditional joinery techniques for strength and longevity. You are welcome to visit the shop during this phase to see your project taking shape.
Deliverable: Updates on the build progress.
Finishing & Installation
I apply premium, durable finishes that protect the wood while enhancing its natural character. Once cured, we arrange for delivery or installation. We don't just drop it off; we ensure it is perfectly placed, level, and ready for a lifetime of use.
Deliverable: Your new custom piece, installed and ready.
